God is inviting you to be a part of the story He is writing throughout past, present and future. He is offering salvation to you today, which is an invitation to the rescue plan God offers. You can embrace His rescue plan by admitting your need for God, ask Him to forgive you for all of your bad decision and turn away from them by repentance. Believe and trusting in Jesus alone to rescue you!
“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
“Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.” Psalms 51:2
“Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.” Psalms 51:10
Water Baptism is an outward declaration of a decision in your heart to follow Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of your life. Not only does the Bible command us to be baptized but Jesus himself was water baptized. We are simply following his example in doing the same. It is the next step after meeting Jesus personally!
“When all the people were baptized, it came to pass that Jesus also was baptized…” Luke 3:21
“And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord.” Acts 10:48
Pray
Dear Heavenly Father,
I believe Jesus is my Lord and savior. I confess all my sins and ask for forgiveness. I believe Jesus rose from the dead and paid the price for all our sins so we can live forever. I don't want to be the lord of my own life. I ask the Holy Spirit to come into my life and ask Jesus to come into my heart.
In Jesus name I pray,
Amen
Recognition of my sin with Godly sorrow, and a commitment to a change of direction. It includes a change of mind, heart, direction, conduct and behavior. It’s not about feeling sorry or ashamed. It must be a deeply held belief with a strong conviction. It’s changing the will of a person.
Greek translation is to change your mind. A decision to not please yourself but instead to please Jesus. Hebrew translation is to turn around. It’s to not have your back to God. Faith comes after repentance.
Repentance is a surrender of your will.
And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38
From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17
